The Bereavement Program at the Harambee Foundation is a vital initiative designed to provide financial, logistical, and emotional support to Kenyan families in the diaspora during times of loss.

Rooted in the spirit of “Harambee” or “pulling together,” this program ensures that no family has to face the burden of bereavement alone. Each member of the Harambee Foundation contributes $30 when a community member loses a close relative.

This pooled fund helps cover the costs associated with repatriating the body to Kenya or managing funeral expenses locally.
